Super Bowl LII Prediction

Super Bowl LII

Philadelphia Eagles vs New England Patriots (at U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, Minn.)

Halfway through the regular season, the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles looked to be the favorites to reach the Super Bowl. After the injury to Philadelphia quarterback Carson Wentz, the thought of the Eagles making the Super Bowl was thrown out the window by most people, including me. I have not picked the Eagles to win either of their two postseason games so far.

New England’s Tom Brady is out to win his sixth ring and might have had the easiest road to the Super Bowl as he has had in his career. Yes, the Jacksonville Jaguars had the Patriots on thin ice for much of the AFC title game, but the top-seeded Pats still pulled it out, so hear me out. If New England wins Super Bowl LII, the team would have gone up against teams led by Marcus Mariota, Blake Bortles and Nick Foles. No quarterback showdowns between Brady and Ben Roethlisberger, Alex Smith, Drew Brees, Matt Ryan or Cam Newton. Bummer, I know.

In my opinion, if the Eagles pull out the win in the Super Bowl, it would go down as one of the biggest “upsets” ever in the NFL's biggest game. Philadelphia has proved me wrong before though, so if you are an Eagles' fan you might appreciate my prediction.

Final Prediction - New England 28, Philadelphia 27
